The Global Hope Supporters in India celebrated International Mountain Day by conducting forest-cleaning activities across several regions.

On December 7, approximately 50 volunteers and citizens in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, worked together with the BVMV Madhurawada Ward Office to collect waste along Marikavalasa Road, preventing forest pollution.

On December 10, about 80 volunteers and citizens in Warangal, Telangana, worked together with the Telangana Jayashankar Bhupalpally Forest Department to remove pollutants along the hiking trail of Pandavula Guttalu Mountain, maintaining a clean and healthy forest environment.

On December 17, approximately 150 volunteers and citizens from Ranchi, Chaibasa, Simdega, and Dhanbad in Jharkhand worked together with the Ranchi Municipal Corporation to collect waste along the Dhurwa Dam Walking Road, protecting the forest ecosystem and enhancing the green spaces used by local residents.

This event is part of the Forest of Hope campaign, carried out by the Church of God’s Global Hope Supporters with the caring heart of a mother to protect the environment of our global community.

The Forest of Hope campaign aims to restore forest ecosystems—sources of hope for humanity—and create a sustainable global environment. Through activities such as collecting forest waste, planting trees, removing invasive species, and clearing fire-hazard materials, volunteers help restore and strengthen forest ecosystems. The campaign also raises awareness of the need to protect green spaces through a joint generational declaration and an exhibition of panels on desertification prevention and wildfire awareness. The campaign is being carried out from November through January in countries around the world, including Korea, India, the Philippiness, and Peru, in alignment with the purpose of International Mountain Day—recognizing the vital role mountains play in our lives and promoting positive change for mountain environments worldwide. This campaign is part of the Church of God’s climate change response initiative, one of its six major fields of social contribution. Global Hope Supporters are also committed to fulfilling the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in various areas, including poverty and hunger alleviation, health and well-being promotion, and building sustainable and safe communities.
